About Me:
I first joined a gym at nineteen because like many girls I knew, I wanted to be thin. Sigh. Little did I know at the time, exercise is not about being thin. I was paired with a personal trainer who pushed me and educated me and gave me the confidence to go to the gym on my own.
Over the years I developed different interests in physical skills and art forms which drew me to try various classes and practices. I started with taking Salsa classes and eventually that lead me to enrolling in Modern Dance and then finally to aerial dance and hand balancing. In the midst of enjoying these activities, I also picked up indoor climbing and bouldering as well as yoga. Several years ago I also played for a season of women’s Flag Football to raise money for Alzheimer’s Awareness.
During this time I decided to go back school to study Psychology. There, I learned how our physical bodies are not only impacted by our brains, but what we do with our bodies also impacts our thinking and our feelings. It was then that I decided to become a personal trainer and earned my CPT through NASM.
Around the time I started as a personal trainer I was introduced to StrongFirst, a training style specific to foundational strength using kettlebells, barbells and bodyweight. While lifting heavy can make one stronger and stretching can make one more flexible, we all have to start with where we are in our current bodies. With this in mind, I work with my clients from where they’re at and what they hope to achieve with their physical goals. I emphasize functional training so as to encourage long term physical strength and independence throughout their lifetime.
Take the First Step:
Get strong, stay strong, feel strong. Whatever goals you have, a strong foundation will be the difference between maintenance and lifestyle.
“As a former D1 athlete I have trained with teams. I play competitive volleyball weekly and have always relied on endurance. Since working with Jalebi not only has my form improved in weightlifting but also my overall body awareness. In addition, my hitting and serving has become more explosive and powerful.”

“Jalebi has given me the tools and the confidence to take ownership of my mobility and strength; and has helped me cultivate a trust in my body that I’d not experienced before. She meets me where I am and I leave every session feeling more capable, clear-headed, and confident in my body’s ability to show up. Her unflagging attention to process and form keep me disciplined, focused, and safe.”

“I had never worked with a personal trainer before, but Jalebi helped me get in shape. She makes workouts more approachable with an expert knowledge of proper form and function. I always feel better and stronger after our sessions and I would highly recommend working with her!”

“I have been training with Jalebi for about 6 months and truly appreciate her enthusiasm for fitness and care for her clients. She spends the time customizing each workout to my individual goals and mobility. She has a great attention to form, which ultimately helps me engage more muscles during our workouts and maximize the movement. In the time we have been training, I have seen improvement in my range of motion and feel much stronger. Thank you Jalebi for your fitness guidance and care! “
